A Body Search(A General Guide)

A body search is an inspection of a person's body and outer clothing—conducted manually by patting down or via electronic scanners—to check for hidden weapons, drugs, or illegal items. [1, 2, 3]

Types of Body Searches

Pat-down (Frisk): A quick external feel over clothes to check for hidden weapons or objects.
Non-intimate search: Removing outer layers like coats, hats, or shoes.
Strip search (Visual): Removing all or most clothing for a visual inspection without physical contact on naked skin.
Intimate/Cavity search: Internal physical checks performed strictly by medical professionals in extreme cases. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Airport Security: Routine screening using metal detectors or body scanners before boarding.
